Why Akaushi Beef

Akaushi (Red Wagyu)

Akaushi—also known as Red Wagyu—is prized for its exceptional marbling, tenderness, and rich flavor. This unique beef contains a higher concentration of monounsaturated fats, which contribute to its buttery texture and depth of taste.

According to the American Heart Association, monounsaturated fats may help support heart health when consumed as part of a balanced diet. In Akaushi beef, this fat profile enhances both tenderness and flavor, resulting in beef that is rich without being overwhelming.

Our Akaushi Journey

Crooked Creek Ranch began its Akaushi journey in 2022. By 2026, we began offering Akaushi beef shares to our customers, focusing on careful breeding, responsible ranching, and consistent quality.

Our cattle are raised on pasture and finished with a balanced grain + grass program to develop optimal marbling and flavor.
